The DEC Program in Massachusetts began in 1995. The program started with just two DREs, and today has grown to
138 certified DREs, 18 of whom are DRE Instructors.



The next MA. DRE School is scheduled for January 27 - February 6, 2020 in Franklin, MA.
At this time, there are no other DRE Schools scheduled in the near future.

Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE) classes are now scheduled. ARIDE is a prerequisite to the DRE School.

Drug Impairment Training for Educational Professionals (D.I.T.E.P.) is now being offered to school districts in Massachusetts. Check out the D.I.T.E.P. link for information on this exciting program.

Massachusetts completed another DRE School in June 2019, graduating 13 students. The class was held at Franklin Fire Department, Franklin MA. Special thanks to the Franklin Fire Dept. for all their help and support.





The Massachusetts Drug Recognition Expert Association is a non-profit group, dedicated to promoting Drug Recognition Experts in Massachusetts. Non profit status (501 C3)is pending. All funding is obtained through private funds and donations.
